yes start talking vitamins flax oil , and echinacea.. look your body telling you your not strong so start building it up. trust me you will never forget me. take a chance what your doing know isn't working

I get them too. My doctor just gave me a perscription for Valtrex, which is usually used for gential herpes. Just pop one when you start to get the tingling sensation, and it should be gone in 2-3 days. So just ask your doc.

Get a couple of ounces of herbal cayenne powder preferably about 100,000 heat units, but anything over 80,000 heat units will work. Put about a half a teaspoon in a cup of warm water pat it on the cold sore if it is on the outside of your mouth and gargle a little bit and spit it out after about 1 minute. This will heal the cold sores overnight. And it isn't hot unless you drink it. Which is what I do every day.

Carmex works great. I asked this question a while back and followed this advice. It's a lot cheaper than Abreva.

As SOON as you feel the next cold sore coming on, take a small slice of potato and apply to the cold sore for at least 15 minutes. If you wait too long the potato will do absoluty nothing, so its important to apply the potato as soon as you feel the sore developing.

abreva works well when you put it on every hour or so....that usually gets rid of mine in about 5 days rather than a couple of weeks.

I get them all the time and the only thing that works for me is toothpaste with fluoride. If you feel a cold sore coming, put some toothpaste on it and let it dry. It doesn't look very fancy so hopefully you feel it just before you go to bed.
