This may sound stupid but…………………………
Metholated spirits kills cold sores faster than any over the counter or prescription medication. A small amount on a cottonwool ball dabbed on the cold sore a few times a day does the the trick. Give it a go, it DOES work !

Acidopholous capsules are available over the counter in any drug store. They are all natural and the active ingredient in yogurt. Take 2 daily until cold sore is gone. Take 1 or 2 a week from now on and you may never get a cold sore again.
I learned this remedy over 30 years ago and haven’t had one since. I have shared the information with many others who have had the same results.
Good luck and get to the drug or vitamin store ASAP.

I've never had one, but a friend says when she feels her lip starting to tingle she puts ice on it for 20 minutes and never develops a sore.

Yes a doctor told me to put perfume on it when you first feel the itchy spot or lump starting. The perfum should be good quality as the cheap types will not work as well. It works as i do this and the lump is gone in days and they don`t burst like they normally do. it is not a permanent cure but i get a lot less cold sores now than i used to.

I suffer with cold sores every blumming year and I find that a paper bag or a medium sized bucket helps!!!!

Only joking… I have never heard of any home remedies to be honest and use Zovirax which seems to work a treat!!

i would to – there are cures for many things that are not sanctioned in this country because only pharmaceuticals are sanctioned to treat things with drugs and of course cures are not in their portfolio – only fund raising.
